This page is dedicated to the gear heads out there who want to know the gear rundown. I have listed the drums, hardware, pedals, software and recording equipment I use to record my videos.
I usually configure my kit as a 4 piece, but rotate different size drums in and out depending on what the project calls for. I will make a blog post about the bass drum cutdown I had done a few years ago.
I do not have a relationship with any of the companies for the products I use at this time.
Recording Gear
Here is the short story of how my process works.
Audio: I record the drums into Logic using the Scarlett 18i20 to a drumless track and then mix drums in to sound more natural.
Video: I sync the recorded mixed audio of the song with the video I captured while recording my drum tracks using Final Cut Pro.
What I use to Make Videos
- Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen
- Shure SM57 x2 (OH)
- Shure SM58 w/o screen (snare)
- AKG D112 MKII (bass drum)
- Hercules Mic Stands
- Logic Pro
- Final Cut Pro
- iPhone Camera & GoPro 11
- Westone In Ear Monitors
- Time and Patience
